"Ancestor"

This katana is in the Shobu Zukuri style, meaning "swept tip". It's 28" and 1050 carbon steel. The tsuka is wrapped with fine leather over black lacquered rayskin. The saya is a very rare piece of Spalted Sycamore. The fittings are iron and the habaki and seppa are gold plated. A similar sword would be approx. $4500.
